Similar technology is already in use. Most of the large turbines in the US (At least the ones in Texas) track the wind, adjust the direction, and the pitch of the blades. This allows them to maximize efficiency and prevent damage from occurring in high winds. I’m sot sure if it is done with cables, so maybe this is more efficient somehow?
