very clever idea, but far less efficient than Alstom’s underground catenary technology (called APS), introduced in 2003.
Well I don’t understand really, why a technology that has proven inefficient due to high energy losses, should be ecofriendly. Or do they have the solution for making inductive energy transfer nearly as efficient as transfer via catenary. I don’t think so, otherwise they would publish facts about effectivity...
